We’re thrilled to report that the movement we call “Green Municipal Aggregation,” (GMA) also knows as “Community Choice Energy” or “Aggregation,” is growing! In late 2018, we signed contracts to serve residents of Gloucester, Hamilton, and Stoneham (all in Massachusetts) with 5% more renewable electricity than is required by state law starting early this year.
Arlington, Brookline, Somerville, Sudbury, and Winchester are preparing to renew their successful GMA programs. Several more communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are looking to take their first steps (We’re anxious to see which city or town in the Ocean State will be the first to adopt this program).
If you live in a community in either Massachusetts or Rhode Island that does not have a GMA program, and you are willing to help influence local decision makers, reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
