Green Energy Consumers Alliance and John Motta, part of the engineering team at the Narragansett Bay Commission, will conduct a tour of a wind turbine that supplies power to Rhode Island's Community Choice Electricity program in Barrington, Central Falls, Narragansett, Newport, Providence, Portsmouth, and South Kingstown.
9:45am - Arrival at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, coffee, and pastries
10:10am - Walk to the turbine
10:15am - Talk & presentation at the turbine by Green Energy Consumers and Narragansett Bay Commission Engineers, including Q&A. Hard hats are required for the tour & will be provided, or you can bring your own.
10:50am - Return to facility
11am - Tour ends
