Policy Advocate

Green Energy Consumers Alliance is seeking a Policy Advocate to join our team! This position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with occasional weeknight and weekend meetings. We work in hybrid mode and some work is performed remotely.

The Job:

The Policy Advocate will be a key person on our Advocacy Team, working to influence legislative and regulatory energy policy, particularly with respect to renewable energy, building decarbonization, and transportation. The Advocate would report to the Executive Director and collaborate with highly qualified colleagues and allies. Opportunities for growth are available for an individual looking to make an immediate difference during the climate crisis while gaining valuable experience. Annual pay range is $45,000 to $60,000 depending upon experience.

Qualifications Required: Passion for climate action, Bachelor’s degree, research experience, strong communication skills, established within Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island (i.e., have lived in either state and are familiar with the geography, politics, and communities), driver’s license, and proof of Covid vaccination (including booster). Master’s degree and/or experience with clean energy and climate policies are preferred.
