On Wednesday, join clean energy advocates for a press event in response to Governor McKee’s FY 2027 budget proposal, which includes major rollbacks to Rhode Island’s clean energy commitments. The event, “Clean Energy Is Affordable Energy,” will feature a program of speakers addressing the proposals in the budget to delay the Renewable Energy Standard to 2050, cap funding for energy efficiency programs, and levy a substantial fee on solar developers, among others. Speakers will highlight how these changes undermine the foundation needed to build a secure, stable, and affordable clean energy future for Rhode Islanders.
