Please join Green Energy Consumers Alliance and John Motta, part of the engineering team at the Narragansett Bay Commission, for a tour of a wind turbine that supplies power to Rhode Island's Community Choice Electricity program in Barrington, Central Falls, Narragansett, Newport, Providence, Portsmouth, and South Kingstown.
PARKING – Narragansett Bay Commission, 1 Service Rd, Providence, RI
TOUR SITE – Fields Point Waste Water Treatment Facility, 2 Ernest Rd, Providence, RI. This is across the street from where you will park! Our greeter will meet you outside the facility.
DETAILS:
- The tour starts by 10:10am. Please arrive by 10, or feel free to arrive as early as 9:45.
- The event will be mostly outdoors, so dress accordingly. Per request of the facility, please wear closed-toe shoes. We will be required to wear hardhats at the tour, which will be provided.
- As we gather, we will enjoy pastries, snacks, and coffee, including allergen friendly options. Then we will walk to one of the three turbines located at the back of the plant where the talks will be given.
