Wrentham

Saint Mary’s Abbey, located in Wrentham, MA, is the first monastery of Cistercian nuns in the United States. Sisters come from all over the country and the world to dedicate their lives to prayer and sustainable living. They host a 100 kW wind turbine, a solar farm, and use geothermal energy to heat and cool the chocolate factory they own and operate and benefit from land lease agreements or from electron sales, to support their lifestyle and wonderful candy business.
